More Boots!

It's a happy day in shopping land. I was stuck at the mall....again...as my car had to have a wheel alignment and a GPS update. What better place to spend a day than at the mall? I'm serious! Now I don't love the mall, but they have a place to read, bathrooms, food, drinks and lots of places to look at things. It was a very quiet day there, which is nice. I checked out Pottery Barn and decided their prices are ridiculous, but I got some ideas. I checked out Aldo accessories, and some other stores that I can't remember. Then I popped into a shoe store. I swear my husband's shoe obsession has rubbed off on me. I know that I just bought boots, but this place had boots that went to knee and fit! So cool. They look great and I can't wait to see them with a skirt. I'm not ready for that skinny jean idea yet - I did it the first time it came out in the 80's and have flashbacks if I even try a pair on. Anyway - they have a nice low heel, and they are leather and just awesome!

In my defense, my Mom gave me some money for my birthday, and I thought she would be happy that I spent that money on something that will last for years.

I also bought some new tights to go with a cute black dress that I got for $20. I ran into a friend at the mall and had a nice lunch with her (and our cute waiter Jeff. If you ever go to Joey Tomatoes in Chinook, eat at the bar and be served by Jeff, he's adorable and so efficient. I was going to ask for a refill and when I looked down, he had gotten me one without me even seeing him. What a ninja! Oh, and the food is GOOD!)

So that was my day. I deserved to relax today - I cleaned the house on Monday, painted my son's room and rearranged it on Tuesday and had a nice visit with my sister on Wednesday. Tomorrow I hopefully get to hang out with my sister in law and my adorable niece. What a productive week!
